Standardized Field Sobriety Tests — Glendale Police Department

The Glendale Police Department, with support from the Peace Officers Association of Los Angeles County (POALAC), is presenting the 20-hour, POST-certified, SFST Course on January 22 & 23, 2022.  The SFST course will train officers to observe, identify, and articulate the signs of impairment related to alcohol. The course includes a required student demonstration of the SFST.  This course is a pre-requisite to ARIDE.  Topics include:

  • Alcohol as a drug
  • Eye Examinations
  • Field validations
  • Signs & Symptomology
  • Report Writing
  • Courtroom Testimony
  • DMV hearings
  • PAS training
  • DS367 Admin per se form

This class will include a wet lab demonstration.

Date: 01-22 & 23  (Saturday and Sunday)
