Crisis Intervention – Mental Health Intervention Update

Field encounters with mentally ill individuals are common occurrences for public safety personnel. More often than not, these encounters do not end well for anyone involved. This training features classroom instruction, practical breakout sessions and Force Option Simulator  scenarios to provide you with tools to help you better handle these situations.

Our instructors are all assigned to the Mental Evaluation Unit (MEU) of the Los Angeles Police Department and all are recognized experts in their field.

The Instructors are:

Detective III Charles Dempsey, Detective II Christine Beltran, Police Officer III Carlos Martinez, Police Officer II Jerome Ealy, Police Officer II Jennifer Smith and LCSW Charles Lennon

This training is highly recommended for first responders, detectives and supervisors.
